The bulls have names!

The Bulls that graze on the Hotchkiss entrance lawn are named for the three famous Greek Tragedians.

  • Laying down flat is Aeschylus, named for the author of The Oresteia - three plays chronicling the Murder of Agamemnon at the hand of his wife Clytemnestra upon his return from war in Troy.
  • Tallest in height, looking towards the Mac and Volleybal courts is Sophocles, named for the author of Oedipus Rex, Antigone, and Oedipus at Colonus.
  • Medium in height, perched in a comfortable sitting position, is Euripides, named for the author of Heracles and Medea - along with many others.
